Prada x Zeus Pup Family Visits
Posted by Misty on Apr 10, 2011 in News, Puppies | 16 commentsMay 7th - puppies are 8 weeks old and some of them have gone to their new homes and are being spoiled even more! We have kept no collar girl and will be training her for show, hunt, obedience, etc. soon. But house training first! We look forward to watching all the pups grow.
April 23rd – puppies are just over 6 weeks old and were joined by they brothers and sisters from the Misty x Zeus litter. The black puppies have discovered the “hill” and are running and climbing all over the place investigating new things. Their yellow siblings are almost 4 weeks old so stayed a little closer to their crate.
April 16th – puppies are just over 5 weeks old and pysched for their second family visit. The theme this week appeared to be “chewing” (shoes, pants, legs, furniture, etc.) and running around so fast that taking pictures was challenging. Thanks to everyone that helped us get a picture with all the boys then with all the girls.
April 10th – the puppies are just over 4 weeks old and ready for their first family visit. They were very excited to see everyone… running around, exploring, pulling on pant legs until they ran out of energy and started cuddling up with the nearest warm body.
So cute! Wish I could be there:)
They won’t be so sedentary in the future so we’re enjoying that while we can.
Fun, fun, fun! We couldn’t be there in person, but we watched on the puppy-cam! We were green with envy watching everyone get to play and cuddle with the puppies, but happy that they are getting socialized so well. You guys do such a great job!
So sorry you couldn’t be here – a good time was had by all! Mostly the pups! They were EXHAUSTED … but after a long nap, they were up running around again.

It’s too bad you’re so far away – the family visits are so much fun and a great experience for the pups. They love to crawl on laps! uh oh!
Looks like so much fun!! I keep wishing I could be your neighbor! I am looking forward watching them grow. Lucky families that go home with one of them!!
The puppies are at a super fun stage right now – they are so eager to explore all the sights and sounds! And they love people – lots of kisses to go around … and then a little nibble or two.
Hopefully you’ll see some in the show ring in a few months.

It’s amazing the difference that a couple of weeks (even days!) make. Prada’s pups were definitely interested in checking out their surroundings and bounding up the hill while Misty’s pups were a little tenative about being outside (it was essentially their 1st day)in a new environment so just making sure that the next step was safe. And, of course, they tired out more quickly. Nothing like a lab curled up in your lap – puppy or otherwise!

Yes, it’s really amazing how well they get along being 2 weeks apart. They are siblings after all and are probably watching out for each other. I wonder what Zeus would think if he saw them all!?
How much do Prada’s puppies weigh now? Is the much of a size difference between the six?
Boys weigh 14 lbs and girls weigh 12 lbs.
We are so thrilled to have yellow girl, Misty Mountain Evening Star, join our family. She is an amazing little girl and we look forward to raising her and preparing her for the show ring. Thank you so much!
We really miss her here at Misty Mountain – she was everywhere all the time and so full of energy and life. Please keep that light burning. She’s beautiful and bright. Send pictures when you can.
