Twas 2 nights before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring (which is hard to believe with 8 Labradors), not even a mouse.
The whelping box were prepped by the chimney with care,
In hopes that happy, healthy pups soon would be there.
Most of the dogs were nestled all snug in their crates,
While visions of squirrels and rabbits danced in their heads.
And Prada in anticipation, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.
When out in the whelping box there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Down the stairs I flew like a flash,
Grabbed my coat and my keys and drove so fast, I thought I might crash.
Off to the vet, as he would know
How to take care of what Prada carried below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a very tired but happy mom, and eight tiny, beautiful lab puppies bringing Christmas cheer.
We are so proud to present to you 3 females (2 yellow wearing pink and green, 1 black with no collar) and 5 males (1 yellow with no collar, 4 black wearing red, blue, orange and purple). What a wonderful holiday gift!
